A simple overview
When you book with Essential Studio, you reserve dedicated time in a small, limited diary. These terms are here to keep things clear and fair for everyone. If anything is unclear, please ask before booking.
Bookings and payment
- A booking is confirmed once full payment has been successfully completed.
- Certain returning clients may be granted access to pay-on-the-day bookings. Where this option is available and selected at checkout, the booking is confirmed at the time of reservation and payment is due immediately after the session.
- Where pay-on-the-day is available, you may be required to provide valid card details at booking to secure the reservation.
- Access to pay-on-the-day is granted at our discretion and may be withdrawn at any time, including in cases of late cancellation or non-payment.
- The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Any later pricing changes will not affect a confirmed booking.
- If a payment fails, is declined, or is not completed, the time slot is not reserved and may be released to someone else.
Changes and cancellations
Life happens. Notice matters.
- You may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 48 hours before your appointment.
- Within 48 hours of the scheduled start time, the full session fee remains payable. For prepaid bookings, the payment will be retained. For pay-on-the-day bookings, you authorise us to charge the payment method on file or issue an invoice payable within 7 days.
- Where a late cancellation occurs, we may offer a credit towards a future session. This is not automatic and remains at our discretion to ensure fairness.
- If you are unwell, especially with anything contagious, please reschedule. We would much rather see you another day than risk anyone's health.
Arriving late and no-shows
- If you arrive late, the session will usually still end at the originally scheduled finish time. The full session fee remains payable.
- A no-show occurs where you do not attend within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time and have not made contact.
- In the event of a no-show, the full session fee remains payable. For prepaid bookings, the fee will be retained. For pay-on-the-day bookings, we may charge the payment method on file or issue an invoice payable within 7 days.
Health, safety, and what sessions are
- Sessions at Essential Studio are professional bodywork and wellbeing sessions. They are not medical treatment and do not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or care.
- You are responsible for informing us, before the session begins, of any condition that may affect safety. This includes injuries, recent surgery, pregnancy, major health conditions, skin infections, fever, or anything that would make touch unsafe or inappropriate.
- If we reasonably believe a session is not safe or appropriate on the day, we may adapt, pause, or end the session. In such cases, we will handle the situation fairly and proportionately.
- Oil is used during sessions. You agree to remove jewellery before treatment and to wear clothing you do not mind getting lightly marked. Essential Studio is not responsible for damage to clothing or jewellery worn during the session.
Consent and boundaries
- Consent is ongoing. You may ask to adjust pressure, technique, or areas worked at any time.
- You may withdraw consent and stop the session at any time. The session will end immediately.
- Essential Studio provides professional, therapeutic services only. Sexual services are not offered. Any sexual behaviour, harassment, or deliberate boundary violations will result in the immediate termination of the session without refund.
Privacy and data
- We collect only the information necessary to manage bookings and provide safe sessions. This may include your name, email address, booking history, and any health or safety information you choose to provide.
- Health-related information is treated as sensitive personal data and handled with appropriate safeguards.
- We do not sell your data. We use trusted service providers (such as payment processors, email services, and scheduling systems) solely for the purpose of delivering our services, under confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, request correction, or request deletion of non-essential data. Certain records, including invoices and financial records, must be retained where required by law.
- You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time. Transactional or safety-related messages will still be sent where necessary.

Rewards and credits
- We may offer points, credits, unlocks, or similar benefits from time to time.
- Rewards and points have no cash value and are not transferable.
- We reserve the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw rewards where reasonably necessary, including in cases of abuse or operational changes. Where changes materially affect existing rewards, we will aim to act fairly and provide notice where practicable.
- Credits may be subject to an expiry date, which will be stated at the time of issue.
The boring but necessary bit
- We will provide services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with applicable law.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant session. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
- We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including travel costs, missed transport, lost earnings, or business interruption.
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
